Your Own Road - STORK (1971, Tim Burstall).

Yeah, you’re on the road, same road as everyone else. Tramping along, straight into the horizon. Stuff that, put the brakes on, turn around. Hell get the grader out and make your own road!
Stork’s six foot, seven inches tall, bespectacled, virginal and absolutely bloody sick of it all. Tim Burstall’s Stork is the last in the tripartite of 1971 films and its eponymous character articulates so beautifully the break between its generation and the one preceding. With the most irreverent, clear-sited aim, it cuts down the social mores of the time and in spirit remains absolutely relevant.
