Simmer Down: Renry Hollins + K9

Simmer down with good music and new friends, there is no reason for you to stay at home on a Tuesday night. Come this 27th as we have a special guest from Kuala Lumpur, Renry Hollins, returning to JAM after his last visit two years back. As the resident of Under9's adventurous bass night Ronggeng Sound System and an ardent purveyor of the region's dub scene - Renry Hollins has toured Southeast Asia, Europe and most recently Japan.

Renry Hollins also co-founded "Public School", a collective that aims to diminish barriers in music by taking it out of exclusive environments and making it accessible to all walks of lives - from throwing a series of parties at a wet market in the city to playing vinyl set at an organic farm in the suburbs.

Joining him is your friendly neighbour selector, K9 of BKRAS. Not a stranger to JAM, K9 is always packing an arsenal of massive tunes to set the mood right for you to simmer down after a long day of work. It will be a night of skankin’ riddims and heavy basslines for your soul, so come down and have a drink with us, irie vibes guaranteed.
